Massachusetts Substance Use Helpline

Massachusetts Substance Use Helpline
Description

Call us at 800-327-5050 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Helpline is open on all holidays. And if you’d like, we’ll even follow up with you after your first call, to see how you’re doing. You can also find treatment options 24 hours a day on our website.

The Helpline is the only statewide, public resource for finding licensed and approved substance use treatment and recovery services. Our goal is to give you the information and treatment referrals that are right for you. We refer to hundreds of treatment services funded or licensed by the MA Department of Public Health. We don’t sell anything and we don’t operate any treatment programs. Our services are free and confidential, and we are committed to providing caring and non-judgmental support to anyone who needs help. Trained Helpline Specialists will help you understand the treatment system and your options.

Anyone can use the Helpline, whether you’re struggling with substance use or care about someone who is. When you call or use the website, the Helpline will:

  • Assess your needs with simple questions
  • Provide referrals to treatment and recovery services
  • Help you access treatment
  • Answer your questions about addiction, treatment, and recovery

The Helpline is funded by the Bureau of Substance Addiction Services of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
